Day 7 Blog!

by Annabelle West

HELLOOO LADIES AND GENTS IN THE STATES!!! Another amazing day has gone by in the beautiful country of Ireland, and LU is truly living!!!!!
We woke up in our hotel in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland where we then met in the hotel at about 7:15 to eat some breakfast (which always has baked beans in the buffet in all the hotels...super weird super weird). We then left for our two hourjourney on our magic carpet (the bus) where nearly everyone knocked out cold. After Patty (the bus driver) drove us on some green winding roads, we arrived at the CAUSEY FARM!! I began at the farm by saying hello and petting some cows which were all super cute (I named one Ginger), and watched the boys run around and chase some sheep! Then, I went inside with my group to make some bread!! Super delicious, 10/10commend!! Following our bread making, we went and learned a traditional Gaelic dance which was SOO MUCH FUN. I was really in my element there. At that point, we were totally starving, so for lunch we ate the bread we made ourselves (with some AMAZING butter and freaking AMAZING jam), and some deliciousus with tea, and the best scones EVER. After, we walked over to an enormous cow which we took turns milking. We continued to walk over for a hay ride to the bog. After singing the song “By and By” for our leader, we arrived at THE BOG *cue evil music.* Many of us jumped in without a change of clothes, but it was totally worth it. We washed all the mud we could off of us, and continued to do some drumming... It sounded super majestic. After drumming, we geared up in some crazyhelmets to play the game “Hurling” which I was bad at...but that’s ok!! I then played with some hyperactive sheep dog puppies. We loaded the bus to head back to Dublin to the Clayton Hotel. We rested, and had another 3 course meal at the hotel which was super delicious. We concluded the day with share night, whichI was bad at...but that’s ok!! I then played with some hyperactive sheep dog puppies. We loaded the bus to head back to Dublin to the Clayton Hotel. We rested, and had another 3 course meal at the hotel which was super delicious. We concluded the day with share night, which helped many connect and relate with one another. I, personally, felt a random push from God to share my story. Even thoughI’m still terrified from sharing, and shed many tears while trying to talk, I knew that was the hand of God driving my voice to share.... I cannot explain the overwhelming push from God!!

I wish these next two days would never end because we are having such a FABULOUS time here in Ireland!! I’m so blessed to get to know all of these beautiful people I now call my friends, and blessed again for this amazing experience. <3
